One of the most daunting parts for developing an educational activity is determining clear and achievable goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes. To make matters worse, there is frequent confusion regarding the terms used which tend to vary from industry to industry. In this webinar, we will look at the various terms used and describe their differences. In addition, we will discuss how to write clear, concise, measurable and observable learning outcomes including examples of effective and not effective outcomes.
Educational Objectives:
Participants will be able to
1. Explain the difference between an objective and an outcome.
2. Identify verbs that are measurable and observable as well as ones that are not.
3. Write learning outcomes that are student centered as opposed to teacher centered.
